Galveston County received a GLO grant for a new Emergency Shelter in High Island, TX. The facility is designed to within winds of 175+ mph. it features a dual design so when the facility is not in use for emergency recovery efforts, it provides the High Island Independent School District a fully functioning competition gymnasium equipped with concessions and lockerrooms.
